Job summary
Endeavor Health seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator - Department Based in Glenview, IL. The position blends education and hands-on care, supporting ongoing staff development and unit staffing needs in the CVICU.
The role reports to the Director of Nursing Professional Development and Practice and focuses on coaching, mentoring, and maintaining clinical proficiency while delivering bedside education and direct patient care as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required or Diploma in Nursing with Bachelor’s in Health-Related Field.
- Current IL nursing license; specialty certification or within one year of role.
- Basic Life Support, ACLS, PALS or NRP as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and serve as a clinical resource for staff.
- Mentor and precept nursing staff; promote evidence-based practice.
- Develop and deliver unit-based education; provide just-in-time training.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager to assess education and performance needs.
- Facilitate onboarding and competency development for nurses and patient care technicians.
- Organize on-unit in-services; lead unit council development and shared decision-making.
- Drive unit safety, quality outcomes and patient experience initiatives.
