Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator – Department Based in Evanston, IL. This full-time role combines 0.5 FTE nursing education with 0.5 FTE RN duties on Post-Surgical/Step-Down in 4 South Searle, 40 hours per week, with varied day/evening shifts.

The educator will mentor staff, deliver bedside education, and collaborate with the Nursing Professional Development leadership to advance practice and patient safety. Requires nursing licensure and five years of experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or Diploma in Nursing with Bachelor’s in Health-Related Field; Masters preferred.
• Certification: Illinois RN license; current nursing specialty certification; BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable.
• Experience: at least five years of clinical nursing experience in a medical center, hospital environment or academic setting.
• Unique skills: adult learner knowledge, strong communication, flexible scheduling, teamwork, teaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of RN duties.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff.
• Coordinate and deliver education and competency development across units.
• Onboard and orient new staff to the department and unit practices.
