Job summary

Harborview Medical Center, part of UW Medicine, seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator, Staff Development Specialist, to support clinical workforce competence and student experiences through education, consultation and collaboration.

You will lead orientation and competency development for nursing staff and students, develop evidence-based programs, and partner with nursing program leaders to ensure clinical placement and learning.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice registered nursing in WA.
• BSN degree.
• Three years of professional nursing experience, including one year in leadership or teaching.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical workforce competence and productive student clinical experiences through education, consultation, and collaboration.
• Provide leadership and resources for orientation, competency development, and evaluation for nursing staff and students.
• Develop evidence-based educational programs and resources to support staff development and quality patient care.
• Collaborate with nursing program leaders and clinical partners to support student placement and onboarding.
