Job summary

Harborview Medical Center, part of UW Medicine, seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator for Procedural Services to lead education, competency development, and evidence-based practice across procedural areas.

You will partner with nursing leadership, physicians, and staff to assess educational needs, implement learning programs, and support regulatory readiness while promoting patient safety and high-quality care. Evening/weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN license (or multi-state licensure).
• BSN is required.
• Minimum of five years' clinical nursing experience in procedural, critical care, perioperative, or related specialties.
• Minimum of two years' clinical leadership experience (e.g., educator, charge nurse, preceptor).
• Ability to assess needs, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
• Experience delivering and evaluating continuing education for adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement clinical education programs for procedural services.
• Facilitate competency development and ensure regulatory readiness.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interprofessional teams to improve patient safety and care quality.
• Support adoption of new technologies and practice standards across procedural lines.
