HCA Healthcare’s MountainView Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for Med Surg to lead high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit operations each shift. You will guide staff, align with policies, and contribute to exceptional patient outcomes and the future of nursing within the hospital.

Qualifications

• BSN required within 2 years of hire or currently enrolled with plan to complete within 2 years.
• Active Nevada RN license
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS required
• ANCC certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
• NVCI required
• 1+ year applicable experience
• 1+ year leadership experience preferred
• 1+ year Neuro/Stroke experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit.
• Collaborates with managers to create a teamwork-focused environment for improved outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operates nursing strategies to improve engagement, including hourly rounds and staff interactions.
• Recommends and implements courses of action for staff training and performance evaluations.
• Manages staff scheduling and labor to align with patient care needs.
• Assists with inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
