Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a nursing diploma or an associate degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services in the unit.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork environments that support improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Implements nursing strategies such as employee rounds and hourly rounds to boost engagement.
• Recommends and implements actions related to interviewing, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed to strengthen the organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and manages supplies and equipment.
