Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit during designated shifts. The CNC collaborates with management to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s vision and mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient‑centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes.
• Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Support facility engagement efforts by operationalizing nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: 1+ years applicable experience.
• Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Required License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice or an active compact license. Must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC license may apply; confirm with NCBON.
• Required Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).
