Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Data Scientist to design and develop ML and NLP models for clinical programs. You will train architectures, establish evaluation metrics and expand analytics capabilities. The role involves handling unstructured medical records and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

The candidate will work across teams to ensure governance and deploy cutting-edge technologies, with travel to various U.S. sites as needed. Excellent Python and ML toolkit proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative technical field plus 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related occupation
• Alternative: Bachelor’s degree in one of the listed fields plus 5 years of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience
• At least 3 years of experience building machine learning/NLP models, or at least 5 years under the bachelor’s alternative
• Experience building and deploying ML classification models using Python, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-Learn, and PyTorch
• Experience with statistics, segmentation, clustering, linear and logistic predictive models, Random Forest, and Ensemble models
• Experience with distributed data warehouses or data lakes
• Experience with cloud databases
• Experience building and implementing neural networks and deep learning models
• Experience performing statistical analysis, data exploration, and data visualization using Python, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
• Experience gathering, preprocessing, and compiling data from various sources using SQL
• Availability for 40 hours/week, 9:00am–5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new machine learning and NLP models
• Design, train, and implement ML and deep learning architectures
• Establish evaluation metrics, analyze performance and create future expansion plans
• Build multi-feature ML classification models for clinical programs and clients
• Design NLP models for unstructured medical records to improve in-house algorithms
• Oversee delivery of results with analytic insights and recommendations
• Review analytic deliverables and resolve data issues
• Ensure governance compliance in processes and procedures
• Propose state-of-the-art technologies to improve reporting platform
• Work at various worksites throughout the United States
