Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a data analytics professional with 2+ years in machine learning or data engineering to join our team. You will manage data projects, craft communications, and coordinate efforts across sub-teams while presenting findings to stakeholders.

You’ll apply SQL, SAS, R, Hive, Teradata, Hadoop, and ETL tools to extract, process, and visualize data, supporting data-driven decision making. Travel to US sites is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least two years in ML or data engineering.
• At least two years SQL experience with complex queries and stored procedures.
• Two+ years ETL tools experience (Informatica, DataStage).
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
• ETL and SQL performance tuning experience.
• Knowledge of programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks and project plans.
• Write communications and decks.
• Coordinate sub-team efforts and deliver outputs.
• Facilitate and gather client feedback on problem structuring.
• Manage feedback loops with offshore resources.
• Import raw data from client data warehouses into statistical analysis software.
• Process data through coding, compilation, calculation, tabulation, and verification.
• Make recommendations to management through presentations.
• Use visualization software, charts, tables, and other tools to highlight trends and recommendations.
• Review and advise on team members’ data analysis, results, interim and final output files, and recommendations.
• Use SAS, R, SQL, Hive, Teradata, Hadoop, Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint for data extraction, understanding, and analysis.
• Position may work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
