Job summary

HCA Healthcare Laboratory Services in Florida is seeking a Microbiology Technician to provide expertise and champion results in a high-performing team environment.

You will perform accurate microbiology testing, review data with technologists, complete patient-result documentation, and support QC procedures to ensure turnaround targets and quality standards are met. Licensure eligibility and ASCP certification are valued as part of a strong, patient‑centered lab team.

Qualifications

• 2-year/associate degree in science required.
• Florida technician license or ability to obtain during interview process.
• ASCP or similar certification helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely microbiology testing.
• Review and interpret clinical laboratory data with technologists/supervisors.
• Complete all records/documentation for patient results.
• Perform QC procedures per protocol and maintain documentation.
• Assist supervisor in meeting regulatory requirements (CAP, etc.).
