Heritage Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Medication Technician for a full-time position on the 3-11 shift in Rhode Island. The role offers daily pay with shift differentials up to $1.75, and compensation is advertised at $20-$23 per hour (all-inclusive).

The CMT will administer medications, observe responses, and support daily resident care under licensed staff, ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in Rhode Island.
• Must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/HHA).
• Previous Certified Medication Technician (CMT) experience required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous medications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents safely and accurately according to physician orders, policies, and state regulations.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as allowed by certification.
• Observe residents for responses to medications, document appropriately, and report any changes or adverse reactions to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing staff to support health and well-being.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and accounted for per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all medication administration and related resident care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care and positive health outcomes.
