Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Medical Physicist for a permanent role in Buffalo, NY. A Master’s or Doctorate in Medical Physics and ABR/ABMP certification are required, with 1+ year of clinical physics experience.

You will oversee patient treatment planning, perform QA on imaging and therapy equipment, and help develop protocols to improve safety and workflow. Strong communication and teamwork with physicians, dosimetrists, and technologists are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Medical Physics or related discipline required.
• Certification or eligibility for ABR board certification.
• Clinical medical physics experience in radiation oncology or diagnostic imaging.
• Familiarity with QA, calibration, and maintenance of medical imaging or therapeutic equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure accuracy and safety in all aspects of patient treatment planning and delivery.
• Perform regular quality assurance checks on radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Collaborate in developing and implementing new protocols to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
• Support compliance with all regulatory standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in educational programs for staff, residents, or students as needed.
• Remain current with advances in medical physics, maintaining required certifications and licensure.
