Job summary

Aiken Technical College is recruiting Clinical Medical Assisting Adjunct Instructors. Class schedules will vary from semester to semester and may include daytime, evenings, weekends, or online formats. Faculty may split schedules and teach dual enrollment in high schools.

Duties include hands-on and theoretical instruction, syllabus development, and ensuring alignment with established course outlines. Certification in CMA or RMA is required, along with two years of physician office experience.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant and two years of physician's office experience required.
• Current CMA or RMA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct with hands-on and theory components, manage classroom activities, and handle admin tasks such as reports and syllabi.
• Prepare or maintain current course syllabi for the taught course.
• Ensure the course is taught according to the established syllabus.
• Recommend instructional materials and appropriate lab facilities/equipment.
• Supervise students throughout the course.

Job Responsibilities

Join our team! Aiken Technical College is recruiting Clinical Medical Assisting Adjunct Instructors.

Class schedules will vary from semester to semester. Classes may meet in the daytime, evenings, weekends, or online. Faculty may be asked to work a split schedule (morning and evening classes) as well as teach dual enrollment courses in assigned high schools.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Instruction including hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.
• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
• Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
• Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
• Supervision of students.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Certification as a Medical Assistant and two (2) years of experience in a physician's office required. Current certification as a CMA through the AAMA or RMA through the AMT required.
