Job summary

Aiken Technical College is recruiting Medical Assisting Adjunct Instructors on a full‑time, on‑site basis. Class schedules may vary by semester and may include day, evening, weekend, or online formats.

Faculty may teach dual enrollment courses in assigned high schools and perform duties such as lesson planning and classroom management. Minimum qualifications include an associate's degree in healthcare, 3 years' healthcare facility experience, and CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a healthcare related field, three (3) years of experience in a healthcare facility and a current certification as a CMA through the AAMA or RMA through the AMT required.

Responsibilities

• Instruction including hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.
• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
• Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
• Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
• Supervision of students.

Job Responsibilities Join our team! Aiken Technical College is recruiting Medical Assisting Adjunct Instructors. Class schedules will vary from semester to semester. Classes may meet in the daytime, evenings, weekends, or online. Faculty may be asked to work a split schedule (morning and evening classes) as well as teach dual enrollment courses in assigned high schools.
