Job summary

CenterWell is hiring a Medical Assistant Rx Specialist in Port Arthur, TX. The role involves being the first point of contact for patient care, performing administrative tasks, and supporting clinical duties with physicians and advanced practice providers.

You will discuss symptoms, take vital signs, administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy, and collect specimens while maintaining a clean, well-documented EMR environment. TB screening is required if selected.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (MA) required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Medication and vaccine administration experience.
• Minimum 1 year MA experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ready to undergo TB screening if selected.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for patient care and perform admin duties.
• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, and provide basic clinical tasks.
• Administer medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy and diagnostic specimen collection.
• Maintain examination rooms and document in EMR.
• Collaborate with Physicians and APPs to deliver care.
• Contribute to process improvement and mentor other MAs.
