Job summary

Northpoint Recovery is seeking a Medical Assistant – Clinical Support to provide direct clinical and operational support to the nursing and medical teams in a residential substance use disorder treatment setting. You will collect patient information, vitals, lab samples, EKGs, and assist with medication-related duties within scope of practice.

You will work with RNs, APNs, physicians, therapists, case managers, and other team members to promote safe, compassionate, and high-quality care, while

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• QMAP certification within the required timeframe or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and communicate significant observations to nursing and treatment teams.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient information accurately.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform CLIA-waived testing as trained.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures.
• Document clinical information in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Coordinate appointments and follow-up care as directed.
