Job summary

Pathway House is seeking a Medical Assistant for the PM shift to manage medications within a residential substance use treatment program. You will lead medication logging, inventory, reconciliation, and scheduling while collaborating with LVNs, senior medical staff, and operations.

The role requires CMAA or equivalent certification, strong clinical knowledge, and the ability to work weekends and nights as needed. Training and EHR experience are emphasized for continued competency.

Qualifications

• CMAA or national certification is highly desirable.
• 3 years of experience with medication clerks; or complete 6 hours MA training within 3 months of hire.
• General clinical terminology and vital signs knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Log in client medications into the EHR at admission and update orders.
• Enter inventories of all prescription medications.
• Schedule medications per prescriptions and cover times during shift.
• Log medication events into the MAR (E-MAR) and monitor missed doses.
• Run reports to monitor missed meds and incomplete E-MARs.
• Reconcile medications by matching inventory to counts and coordinate refills.
• Coordinate appointments with doctors and other clinicians.
• Collaborate with medical staff and management to maintain accurate med records.
