Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military clinical training per DD214 in lieu of a program.
• 2 years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, medication reconciliation, health maintenance.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered and performs lab duties (venipuncture, labeling, packing).
• Performs CLIA‑waived tests and POCT per standing orders, adheres to CLIA standards.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles duties like refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals, and supply ordering.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and ensures equipment is functional.
• May assist with training new teammates and serve on committees.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program

2 years verifiable MA experience (last 5 years)
