Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the primary care delivery team. You will collect data, measure vital signs, coordinate tests and services, and perform point of care testing and/or phlebotomy as indicated.

You will help maintain efficient workflows and a patient-centered environment to promote safe, quality care. Qualified candidates include those who have completed the first semester in an accredited nursing program or a medical assistant/patient care technician

Qualifications

• Completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• Active certification may substitute for education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote health and wellness.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to staff in a timely manner.
• Provide ADL support, measure weight, height and vital signs.
• Promote infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Support education and enculturation of new Medical Assistants.
