Requirements include graduation from an accredited MA program and CPR certification. Experience in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic is preferred; computer literacy is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Experience providing administrative duties and clinical care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic setting is preferred.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Broad range of administrative and technical skills in healthcare.

Responsabilités

• Receives patient from the waiting room and escorts the patient to the exam room.
• Records intake information in the patient medical record and other department data per policy.
• Records patient vital signs and relevant information and reports to the provider.
• Prepares patient and provider with setup and cleanup of procedures.
• Maintains universal precautions and aseptic technique.
• Performs administrative duties as needed.
• Assists with patient education alongside the provider.
• Inventory management for exam rooms and clinic areas; restocks as required.
• Assists with daily cleaning and maintenance of clinic spaces.
• Duties may vary and other tasks may be assigned.
