Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• Alternative: CMA/RMA/CNA/EMT certification may substitute for education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians by providing delegated direct patient care interventions.
• Measure vital signs and record data during office visits.
• Coordinate patient tests and services and perform point-of-care testing or phlebotomy as indicated.
• Maintain safe, clean, and efficient patient care environments.
• Communicate patient information promptly to the care team and support infection prevention standards.
