DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. The role involves EHR data entry, patient prep, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic nursing tasks in a multi-provider dermatology network.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, prior medical office experience, familiarity with ICD-10/CPT coding, and HIPAA knowledge. Travel may be required in some offices within the Docs Dermatology Group network.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.

Responsabilités

• Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit.
• Enter medical history and visit information into EHR.
• Escort patients to exam room and prepare them for the physician visit.
• Take medical history, document data in EHR and assist during examinations.
• Call prescriptions to pharmacies and schedule procedures.
• Instruct patients on medication usage and perform basic nursing tasks as ordered.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain supplies; manage inventory and orders.
• Complete phone triage and communicate pathology/lab results to patients.
