Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, exam preparation, and assisting physicians during visits.

The position requires high school diploma and prior medical office experience, with preference for knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding and ModMed EMA EMR. Strong teamwork and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in medical office.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management/physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and service standards.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred).
• Familiarity with ModMed EMA EMR (preferred).
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and confirming visit purpose.
• Enter medical history and visit data into the EHR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Phone prescriptions to pharmacies and schedule procedures.
• Take and process lab specimens; sterilize instruments.
• Maintain stock and order supplies; complete phone triage.
