Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Mount Pleasant, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician to support clinicians with patient care, vital signs, and basic procedures. This role includes preparing exam rooms, documenting visits, and assisting with tests and medications as directed.

Full-time schedule 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with opportunities to grow in a busy outpatient setting. Prior EMS/clinical experience and EMR proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of MA or PCT experience.
• Or completion of an eligible medical helper program (MA/EMT/Nurse asst/LPN, etc.).
• BLS within 6 months for Rural Health clinics; willing travel for float roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with examinations, document vitals and interventions in charts.
• Prepare rooms, gather supplies, and organize forms for visits.
• Administer EKGs, vaccines, draws, and assist with routine procedures.
• Phone in prescriptions and complete lab slips/referrals as directed.
