Job summary

Paycom - ATS Athens clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed clinicians in both clinic and surgical settings. You will provide compassionate, safe patient care and perform routine tasks under supervision to ensure efficient examinations.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and medications.
• Detail oriented with professional attitude and reliability.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate during exams and treatment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Prepare examination, procedure, or operative rooms and assist physicians.
• Record medical history, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Explain procedures and post-care instructions to patients.
• Assist during surgical procedures and maintain sterile field.
