Job summary

Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate.
1–3 years experience as a medical assistant, emergency medical technician or certified nursing attendant (with valid certificate) OR successful completion of the Northwell Health Medical Assistant training program.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with health care team to coordinate and implement plans for patient care; record visit reasons and related patient information for practitioner review.
Performs vital signs, height, weight and screening procedures; documents findings in the medical record.
Collects and assists in collection of specimens using appropriate infection control protocols; completes requisitions and routes specimens.
