Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Assistant I at Newton-Wellesley Hospital for an ambulatory specialty practice. The role is 10% clinical and 90% non-clinical, focusing on scheduling, coordination, medication management, and data entry in the EMR.

Ideal candidates will have completion of a clinical training program or nursing education, strong communication, and the ability to support a collaborative care team in a fast-paced clinic. Onsite position with a 32-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal clinical training program or nursing degree with related clinical rotation.
• Experience or familiarity with EPIC/EMR systems preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory requirements for patient information.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and obtain vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Process medication refill requests and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with providers.
• Enter patient data into electronic medical records (EMR).
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
