Hughston Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a clinical setting in Florida. The role includes patient care, charting, specimen handling, and basic administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of healthcare experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and familiarity with HIPAA and EMR systems, preferably AthenaNet. A CMA certification is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance, with potential for varied hours.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HIPAA knowledge and ability to protect patient privacy.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and acceptable MVR.
• Knowledge of AthenaNet or similar EMR systems.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians in clinics with patient care and administrative duties.
• Transcribe patient histories and exams; document encounters.
• Enter tests and procedures; review charts.
• Ensure tests are performed accurately and timely.
• Document patient information in EMR per physician dictation.
• Manage patient flow and scheduling for efficiency.
• Assist with minor procedures and DME instructions.
• Sterilize equipment and stock exam rooms.
• Communicate restrictions and patient instructions; follow up after procedures.
• Complete insurance, disability, and FMLA forms as required.
• Perform other administrative duties as needed.
