Job summary

Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod in Hyannis, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the MACC practice. You will assist in patient care, manage daily schedules, greet patients, and document vital signs and visit notes in the EHR.

The role requires certification (AAMA/NHA), completion of a medical assisting program, BLS, and strong communication skills; experience with EMR/EHR and office technology is preferred. 40 hours weekly, rotating days, 7a–5p.

Qualifications

Must read, write and communicate in English.
Certification as Medical Assistant (AAMA or NHA) required.
Completion of a post-secondary medical assisting program.
Basic Life Support certification required.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Experience with office technology and electronic records.
Minimum of two years in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in providing clinical care to office patients as delegated by supervising provider.
Manage provider’s daily schedule and patient flow to expedite care.
Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms and verifies patient identifiers.
Input clinical information into EHR accurately and timely.
Assist clinicians with procedures and tests; communicate visit status to providers.
Prepare exam rooms and maintain inventories of supplies and equipment.
Administer routine injections when delegated and document in real time.
Provide clerical support (scheduling, registering patients, scanning records, answering calls).
Float to other MACC practices when required.
