Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking a Non-Certified Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and administrative support in our New Hampshire clinics. Under supervision of certified staff, you will assist with patient care, prepare examination rooms, and help ensure a welcoming, efficient patient experience.

This hourly position offers compensation based on experience, with a range of $18.77 to $25.34 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a medical assistant training program preferred.
• Certification not required; BLS or Heart Saver CPR AED renewal within 3 months grace period.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with routine patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms by cleaning and restocking supplies.
• Record patient information such as vital signs and medical histories.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the patient flow.
• Assist in operations, including answering phones and managing workload buckets; refill prescriptions and maintain medication sample logs.
• Provide basic medication instructions and follow-up care as directed by providers.
• Perform phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing; observe urine collection and prepare batches for laboratories.
