Mass General Brigham seeks a Medical Assistant to support healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical patient services onsite at 340 Wood Road. You will take vital signs, document information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow.

You will interact directly with patients to ensure comfort and address concerns, and collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care. The role includes using EHR systems and medical office software.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• BLS Certification and CMA (National Certification) preferred.
• Direct MA experience 1-2 years required.

Responsabilidades

• Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, record vital signs and measurements.
• Explain treatments, medications, diets, and physician instructions; provide patient education materials.
• Answer phones, take dictation, complete insurance forms, liaise with departments, and advocate for patients.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare for testing; perform phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates.
• Provide immunizations as applicable with certification or supervision of a provider.
• Support departmental quality initiatives and patient safety measures.
