Job summary

This onsite role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with EHR systems. You will assist physicians and nurses, prepare exam rooms, collect specimens, and ensure a clean, organized environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certificate preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• EMT-B preferred (Massachusetts).
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
• Acts as a liaison with other departments and advocates for patients with a positive customer service approach.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat, clean and supplies stocked.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
