Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of a licensed practitioner and/or department leader, the Clin-Med Assist I independently provides and documents clinical care and related tasks according to standardized protocols. The role involves applying appropriate age and developmental care approaches, supporting physicians, nurses, and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care. Administrative duties may also be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• H.S. Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
• Medical Assistant Program/Certificate (new grads welcome)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
• 1 year of experience
• Certified Medical Assistant
• Externship/internship of 160 hours or 1 year of experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; experience with data entry and clinical computer systems
• Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient, or long-term care settings

The current salary range is $23.10 to $31.77.
