Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of a licensed practitioner and/or department leader, the Clin-Med Assist I independently provides and documents clinical care and related tasks according to standardized protocols. This role involves applying age-appropriate and developmental care approaches, supporting physicians, nurses, and families in patient care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, safe care for patients and families. Administrative duties may also be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• H.S. Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers issued by AHA
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program/Certificate (new grads welcome)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
• One year of experience
• Certified Medical Assistant
• One year of experience or 160 hours of externship/internship
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; experience with data entry and clinical computer systems
• Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient, or long-term care settings

Salary Range: $23.10 to $31.77 per hour
