Mercyhealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations. The role includes rooming patients, collecting assessment data, assisting physicians in exams, and performing routine lab and triage tasks.

You will handle scheduling, patient registration, and chart maintenance within a busy outpatient setting. Candidate should have ABHES/CAAHEP accredited training, clinic experience, and CPR/BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• ABHES or CAAHEP accredited medical assistant program.
• Clinic experience preferred.
• Injection, specimen collection and phlebotomy training preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Rooms patients, collects data, and prepares them for care.
• Assists physicians in examination and clinic procedures.
• Assists with laboratory procedures and screening tests.
• Answers telephone and triages inquiries.
• Schedules appointments and enters dates/times in the scheduler.
• Registers patients and maintains up-to-date charts.
• Coordinates referrals and handles billing/receipts.
• Maintains supplies and supports QA initiatives.
• Overtime may be required during peak periods.
