Qualifications

• Successful completion of Medical Assistant Certificate program with relevant front and back office experience
• 0-6 months related experience
• Bilingual - Spanish (preferred)
• American Heart Association recognized BLS - Heartsaver
• Certified CA State Medical Assistant (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and inputs data in computer system.
• Takes patient’s vital signs and provides personal care.
• Opens sterile supplies and sets up for procedures.
• Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Documents transactions, phone conversations, observations, and orders in medical records.
