The ideal candidate will have CMA/RMA certification, completion of an accredited MA program, and experience with EHR/EMR systems. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for providing client-centered, respectful care in a compassionate team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical workflows.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and presenting concerns.
• Assist medical providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection.
• Ensure infection control and universal precautions.
• Greet and support clients with trauma-informed, respectful care.
• Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-ups; maintain records in the EHR.
• Coordinate communication between clients, providers, and teams.
• Assist with HIPAA compliance and accreditation standards.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and audits as needed.
