Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support across primary care, surgical and specialty practices. You will assist with procedures, administer medications per provider orders, and document thoroughly in the EMR.

With strong attention to patient education, you will verify allergies and histories, collect specimens, perform front-office tasks, and help ensure accuracy of registrations and billing processes.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• Accredited CMA program with AAMA/RMA/NHA certification or approved equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support across primary care, surgical and specialty practices.
• Assist with procedures and medication administration per provider orders.
• Enter prescriptions and ensure electronic submission to pharmacies.
• Document patient intake, vital signs, allergies, med history and ROS in the EMR.
• Perform front office duties and help with scheduling and payments as needed.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and registrations in the EMR.
