Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision of the Practice Manager and physicians. You will be an integral member of the healthcare team assisting in patient care management and coordinating with providers.

Responsibilities include verifying patient information, entering data into the EHR, assisting during exams, and supporting the scheduling and triage processes to ensure smooth clinic flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Prior experience in a medical office.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred).
• Familiarity with the ModMed EMA EMR (preferred).
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
• Some offices may require travel.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming visit purpose.
• Enter medical history and visit information into the EHR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms.
• Take pertinent medical data and enter into the EHR.
