Job summary

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, IA, is seeking a Clinical Liaison to join Lifepoint Rehabilitation. This full-time position focuses on educating the community about acute rehabilitation, developing business aligned with the rehab program’s goals, and establishing face-to-face connections with referral sources to increase census.

The ideal candidate has a clinical degree with an active license (OT, PT, SLP, or RN), healthcare liaison or sales experience, strong interpersonal

Qualifications

• Clinical degree and current license to practice as an OT, PT, SLP, RN.
• Applicable and current license to practice in accordance with the state licensure act.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Previous clinical liaison/marketing/sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation required.
• Approximate external liaisons in-market territory: ~80%.

Responsibilities

• Educate the community on acute rehabilitation to develop a census through face-to-face contacts.
• Develop business based on the strategic goals of the rehabilitation program.
• Face-to-face connections within the territory to build relationships with referral sources to increase census.
• Identifies barriers to the admission process and creates solutions with the program director.
• Onsite and in-territory work through face-to-face contact with patients, families, and referral sources.
• Completes in-person in-services and presentations to educate on acute rehabilitation programs and services.

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center is a 25-bed acute rehabilitation unit dedicated to helping patients who are recovering from various injuries or illnesses. In partnership with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, this facility provides 24 hours of nursing care and intensive inpatient therapy to provide an outstanding experience and quality outcomes for all of the patients we serve.

How you'll contribute

A Clinical Liaison who excels in this role:

• Educate the community on acute rehabilitation to develop a census through face-to-face contacts.
• Develop business based on the strategic goals of the rehabilitation program.
• Face-to-face connections within the territory to build relationships with referral sources to increase census.
• Identifies barriers to the admission process and creates solutions with the assistance of the program director.
• Requires onsite and in-territory work through face-to-face contact with patients, families, and referral sources.
• Completes in-person in-services and presentations to educate on acute rehabilitation programs and services.
• Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for

• Clinical degree and current license to practice as an OT, PT, SLP, RN
• Previous clinical liaison/marketing/sales experience preferred
• Applicable and current license to practice in accordance with the state licensure act
• Other professional licensure considered based on experience and training as outlined in the state licensure act
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation required
• A track record of successful experience in a health care setting, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working with physicians, nursing management, discharge planners, case managers, and social workers
• Clinical experience is preferred
• Approximate time of external liaisons to be in the market territory: 80%
