Job summary

Regency Hospital, a division of Select Medical, is seeking a Clinical Liaison to advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process. You will collaborate with clinical teams to assess needs, coordinate care plans with physicians and families, and facilitate patient transfers to post-ICU care.

You will build relationships with medical facilities, support discharge planning, and remove payer-related barriers to ensure timely access to high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) license.
  • Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT.
  • Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
  • Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.

A day in the life

You’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre‑admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem‑solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post‑ICU care.

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM

  • Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
  • Superior communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
