Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Clinical Learning Lab Technician to support training for campus leaders, staff and faculty in the safe use of simulation equipment and technology in clinical labs. Collaborates across departments to ensure resources and training align with standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, prior simulation tech experience, and up to 65% travel. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CHSE/CHSOS certification preferred, when eligible.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in clinical learning lab or simulation as a technician.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to work with various education models.
• Knowledge of agency regulations and accreditation requirements; excellent written and oral communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 65% and ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing simulation technology to achieve student learning outcomes.
• Install, manage and maintain simulation equipment and technology for standardized learning experiences.
• Orient campus leaders, faculty and technicians to operation of simulation equipment and technology.
• Coordinate vendor-led training sessions for faculty, staff, and campus leaders on equipment operation.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for simulation equipment and technology.
• Document equipment training per manufacturer, regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain standardized supply formulary and PAR system for resource availability in CLL and simulation labs.
• Train campus leaders, faculty and staff on new and existing procedures for CLL and simulation tech.
• Assist with installation of technology and equipment for new campus CLL and Sim labs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
