Northwell Health in Connecticut seeks a registered nurse for a 13-week contract to perform age-specific care using the nursing process. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, collaborating with physicians and the health team to coordinate procedures and treatments.

You will lead care activities, document plans, reassess patients, administer medications, educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning while ensuring safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in CT and/or NY.
• BLS required; certifications as needed.

Responsabilités

• Assesses the patient’s physiologic health status using nursing process.
• Assesses psychosocial health status and identifies care needs.
• Identifies patient outcomes and develops plan of care with priorities.
• Implements plan of care and coordinates with care team.
• Administers medications and ensures safe medication practices.
• Educates patient and family; coordinates discharge planning.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team members on treatment.
• Performs Decubitus care and basic skin care procedures.
• Acts in emergency situations with professional composure.
• Maintains documentation of care, treatments and responses.
• Participates in team planning and delegation as needed.

Formation

Associate's Degree in Nursing

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
