Job summary

Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is seeking a Clinical Lead to support daily clinic operations while providing hands-on patient care in a busy practice. This role serves as the primary resource for clinical staff, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality patient care and HIPAA/compliance adherence.

You will lead huddles, coach staff, manage patient flow, and coordinate staffing with the Regional Clinical Manager. A CMA or RN/LPN credential is required, with SPICE ideally in hand.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Accredited Medical Assistant program completion required.
  • Current CMA certification or active RN/LPN license required.
  • SPICE certification or ability to obtain it.
  • Clinical or medical office experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR, HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clinical staff.
  • Lead daily huddles and manage patient flow and priorities.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and staff training.
  • Assign tasks and oversee clinical workflows.
  • Coordinate staffing needs with Regional Clinical Manager.
  • Escalate operational or personnel concerns as needed.
  • Cross-cover clinical roles as necessary.
  • Perform patient intake, vitals and clinical support tasks.
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures.
  • Administer medications and perform basic lab functions.
  • Provide wound care and in-clinic treatments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Triage patient calls and messages.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and manage supplies.

Position Summary

The Clinical Lead supports daily clinic operations while providing hands-on patient care. This role serves as the primary resource for clinical staff, ensuring efficient workflows, strong team performance, and high-quality, compliant patient care.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clinical staff
  • Lead daily huddles and manage patient flow and priorities
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and staff training

  • Provide wound care and other in-clinic treatments

  • Triage patient calls and messages
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and manage clinical supplies

Requirements
Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Accredited Medical Assistant program completion
  • Current CMA certification or active RN/LPN license
  • SPICE certification (or ability to obtain)

Experience & Skills

  • Clinical or medical office experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, HIPAA, and OSHA standards
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Team-oriented with a patient-focused approach
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing/sitting; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to clinical environments and infectious materials
