Job summary

Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is seeking a Clinical Lead to support daily clinic operations while delivering hands-on patient care. This role serves as the primary resource for clinical staff, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality, compliant patient care.

The ideal candidate will coach team members, manage patient flow, and coordinate staffing with the Regional Clinical Manager while maintaining HIPAA and OSHA standards. This is a full-time position based in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Accredited Medical Assistant program completion.
• Current CMA certification or active RN/LPN license.
• SPICE certification (or ability to obtain).
• Clinical or medical office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clinical staff and lead daily huddles.
• Manage patient flow and priorities; assign tasks and oversee workflows.
• Provide coaching, feedback and staff training; cross-cover roles as needed.
• Perform patient intake, vitals, and basic clinical tasks; assist providers during exams.

Position Summary

The Clinical Lead supports daily clinic operations while providing hands-on patient care. This role serves as the primary resource for clinical staff, ensuring efficient workflows, strong team performance, and high-quality, compliant patient care.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

• Act as the primary point of contact for clinical staff
• Lead daily huddles and manage patient flow and priorities
• Provide coaching, feedback, and staff training
• Assign tasks and oversee clinical workflows
• Coordinate staffing needs with the Regional Clinical Manager
• Escalate operational or personnel concerns as needed
• Cross-cover clinical roles as necessary

Clinical & Compliance

• Perform patient intake, vitals, and clinical support tasks
• Assist providers during exams and procedures
• Administer medications and perform basic lab functions, including phlebotomy
• Provide wound care and other in-clinic treatments
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Triage patient calls and messages
• Ensure OSHA compliance and manage clinical supplies

Patient Experience

• Deliver professional, patient-centered care
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
• Support a collaborative, positive clinic environment

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing/sitting; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to clinical environments and infectious materials
