Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical laboratory procedures and tests, including quality control, equipment maintenance, and ensuring accurate results to support patient care.

The role requires NYSDOH licensure or eligibility with a limited permit, a Bachelor's degree, and at least 1 year of lab experience. Travel is occasional, and a strong emphasis is placed on accountability, communication, and multi-tasking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certifications/licensure per NYSDOH requirements preferred but not required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and verify laboratory tests and prepare transfusion products per procedures.
• Conduct quality control and proficiency testing.
• Maintain equipment, reagents, supplies, and required documentation.
• Follow all policies and keep a clean, orderly work area.
• Supervise or review work of other personnel as assigned.
• Perform duties within scope of practice and assist as needed.
