Job summary

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree, NY licensure (or eligibility with timely licensure), and at least one year of lab experience. Strong skills in accuracy, communication, and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in standard laboratory methodologies.
• Licensed or license-eligible as Clinical Laboratory Technologist per NYSDOH regulations.
• ASCP or alternative national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and verify laboratory tests and prepare products for transfusion on specimens.
• Conduct quality control processes and proficiency testing as assigned.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and required documentation.
• Follow department policies and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
• Direct, review, or verify work of other staff as assigned.
• May supervise in absence of the regular supervisor per NYSDOH rules.
• Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
