Job summary

Reston Hospital Center seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform assigned tests across Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Microbiology, reporting results per our laboratory procedures.

Requirements include MT (ASCP) or equivalent/eligible, a 4-year Medical Technology allied health degree, two years of lab experience, and computer skills. Weekend/holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved Medical Technology School or Allied Health (4 year program).
• MT (ASCP), or equivalent/eligible.
• Licensure: None
• Experience: Two years laboratory experience. Computer Skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned laboratory tests in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Microbiology.
• Reports results in accordance with the laboratory's procedures and ensures QC requirements are met.
