Position Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, result calculation and reporting, quality control, and equipment maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures following established policies and methodologies.
2. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of results.
3. Maintain quality control, calibrate instruments, and perform preventative maintenance.
4. Troubleshoot issues and verify the validity of test results.
5. Review and validate patient results, correlating with patient history and previous data.
6. Communicate critical or problematic results to medical staff per protocol.
7. Complete proficiency and competency assessments.
8. Manage testing supplies and generate pending logs.
9. Enter data into Patient Safety Intelligence (PSI) system as required.
10. Assist in training new technologists and residents as directed.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• NYSDOH Licensed Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related sciences from an accredited institution.
• One year of clinical laboratory experience or internship.
• Effective communication skills.

Required Licenses

CliniclLabTechnolgst-NYSPermit, Clinical Lab Technologist-NYS

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP Certification.
• Strong computer skills.
