Position Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, result calculation, quality control, and equipment maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures following approved policies and methodologies.
2. Ensure quality of testing through quality control, instrument maintenance, and calibration.
3. Troubleshoot issues according to protocols and document actions taken.
4. Review and validate patient results, correlating with patient history and previous data.
5. Communicate critical results to medical staff and document appropriately.
6. Complete proficiency and competency assessments.
7. Maintain adequate testing supplies and review pending logs regularly.
8. Enter data into Patient Safety Intelligence (PSI) systems as required.
9. Assist in training new staff and students under supervision.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

- NYSDOH Licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field from an accredited institution.

- At least one year of clinical laboratory experience or internship completion.

- Valid NYS License.

- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Required Licenses:

CliniclLabTechnolgst-NYSPermit, Clinical Lab Technologist-NYS

Preferred Qualifications:

- ASCP Certification.

- Proficiency in computer skills.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
